Lullaby for a Son
Lullaby for a Son
After the war began, musicians from Germany, Russia, and Argentina came together to create "Lullaby for a Son"—a musical anti-war manifesto built on the power of maternal love. At the heart of the project are Russian and Ukrainian lullabies, performed in dialogue, reminding us that pain and hope know no borders.
A lullaby is a universal language that needs no translation—it is understood by everyone from birth. Through this deeply personal and timeless musical form, the project speaks directly to mothers, urging them to protect their children’s lives and stand against destruction. In a time when propaganda and division silence reason, music remains a force that can reach the heart.
The project consciously embraces the challenge of uniting traditional songs from both cultures, emphasizing that a mother’s love is stronger than war. It has resonated not only in Russia and Ukraine but also with people worldwide who share the values of humanity and compassion.
