Mateína is a Latin American music trio, formed by Mateo Perez Valente on Bass, Gabriel Gall on Drums and Mateo Saralegui on Guitar. The trio's repertoire is mostly composed of original music and some versions of music by other composers, all of them with a strong influence of Argentine folk music, Uruguayan and Rioplatense music, and Brazilian music. This year, after many concerts developing their own repertoire, they recorded their first album at the Doctor F studio in Buenos Aires. The new album has not yet been released, but it will be called “Ruido de Mate” and has 11 original compositions including flute and sax in some of them.
